With sun-drenched beaches and a great choice of family-friendly hotels Tunisia is a low-cost destination for UK families. We had a lovely holiday in Tunisia a few years ago. The weather was wonderful and there are several historical sites you can visit. Or you can just spend your days relaxing by the pool knowing you haven’t spent a fortune to be there. Located in North Africa summer temperatures range from 27 to 35oC. Cooling coastal breezes take the edge off the hottest days. Tunisia is also a good winter destination with daytime temperatures in December often reaching 18oC. Flight times from London take around three hours and flight costs also remain low.
