Located on a Blue Flag beach with an impressive pool scene are the Grecotel Marine Palace and Aqua Park. It is spread out over a hillside with pools, restaurants and bars dotted throughout the grounds plus there is a waterpark. The hotel has an authentic Mediterranean look and its waterfront setting means you can enjoy great views of the sea.
The hotel is located in the Rethymnon area of Crete, Greece. It is situated between Chania and Heraklion on the north coast. Rethymnon is an old town with mosques and Renaissance buildings plus a huge fortress. There are seafood restaurants and lively bars which line the harbour giving the town a more modern feel. Plus there is a generously sized sandy beach. The Heraklion Airport is a 90-minute coach transfer to the hotel.
Highlights
At the hotel, there is a large lagoon-like pool plus a slightly quieter pool that is fringed by palm trees. Next to the beach, there is a saltwater pool and there is a second seawater pool with plenty of sun loungers. At the Kingdom of Poseidon waterpark, there are a number of rides and waterslides with something for all ages. Little ones have their own play area with a paddling pool and mini waterslides. The other two pools are freshwater.

Your Board Basis
The board at this hotel is all-inclusive. This includes a buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. An a la carte dinner is available once in every seven-night stay. Also included are snacks at set times, selected local and international brands of alcoholic drinks, soft drinks, tea and coffee. In the buffet restaurant, you can expect daily specials and Cretan corner where you can try local dishes. Plus there are three a la carte restaurants and the occasional beach BBQ. In the Asian restaurant, there is a huge golden Buddha and the Greek Taverna enjoys sea views. The hotel has a beach bar plus a few other bars to enjoy drinks at.

Other facilities include a games room, a multi-sports court, archery and watersports. There is also beach volleyball, table tennis, darts, aerobics, a scuba diving centre and more. Adults can have some ‘me-time’ in the glass-domed roof spa. Here there is a hydrotherapy pool, a sauna and a steam room. You can pick from a range of treatments and there is both an indoor and outdoor gym.
Entertainment
In the amphitheatre, the hotel hosts children’s discos and themed shows in the evenings. Or you could head to the elegant lounge bar for post-sunset drinks. In the daytime, there is a kids’ club for ages 4-12. Teens have their own activities such as beach volleyball. Football tournaments, dance sessions and parties.
