My son is obsessed with pumpkins so I have been busy compiling a list of places to go pumpkin picking in Yorkshire. When he was little he even used to take a mini pumpkin to bed with him. Nowadays he insists on keeping them until they really can’t be kept any longer.
Top tip for visiting a pumpkin patch in Yorkshire – take your wellies and your waterproof coats.
It may also be an idea to check with the attraction that everything is as advertised the day before you visit.
Balloon Tree – Pick Your Own – North Yorkshire – Confirmed
Pumpkins in all shapes and sizes are available from The Balloon Tree Farm. No need to book, just come along and grab a wheelbarrow.
When? From the end of September throughout the entire month of October, our Pumpkin patch is filled with pumpkins of all shapes and sizes, just waiting to be picked by you! We run our Pick Your Own Pumpkins on weekdays and weekends, come rain or shine – so make sure you’ve got your wellies ready.

Our fab team have been working their rocks off in all weather getting Bert’s PYO Pumpkin Patch ready for 2023. We have some belters!!! All shapes, colours & sizes. Prices start from £1 up to £10 for absolute whoppers!!
We have multicoloured sweetcorn & beetroot too!!! Carving/activity barn, scarecrow trail, mini fairground rides & lots of photo opportunities!
Also, food, drink, crepes, & slushies too & the bar is open Saturday & Sunday. NO NEED TO BOOK just come down & pay for what you pick. Well-behaved dogs are allowed on a lead.

Birchfield Ice-Cream – Pumpkin Festival – North Yorkshire – Confirmed
Visit our Pumpkin patch where we grow 6 acres of pumpkins in many different colours and varieties. Grab a wheelbarrow and head to the patch to choose your perfect pumpkin! Make sure you wear your wellies or boots as you will pick from the field and it can get muddy!
We have super cute farm animals including piglets, goats, ponies, donkeys, guinea pigs, sheep and pigs. We have a 6-acre maize maze with a quiz to compete as you weave your way through the maze. 2 bouncy castles, go-karts, an outdoor sandpit, swings and toy tractors. Pumpkin carving barn – Feed any leftover pumpkin insides to the pigs. Woodland walk. Giant Bale Mountain.

Booking/how much – We don’t charge admission to the pumpkin patch, you just pay for what you pick. If you wish to visit the farm animals, activities, maize maze and carving barn this is charged at £5 per person. Under 2s are free

THE PUMPKIN patch is returning to Cannon Hall Farm – with almost 10,000 pumpkins available for visitors to pick – and our expert carvers will shape out those toothy grins for you.
As well as amazing outdoor and indoor playgrounds and animal talks, our pumpkin patch is the perfect place for you to capture those insta-worthy pictures.
Children who have a paid ticket are entitled to one free pumpkin each (no matter how big it is) and will be allocated a token on arrival.
Visitors are also encouraged to wear fancy dress – and spot prizes will be offered by farm staff to those who have made a special effort. Don’t forget our carvers will also be happy to help create your lantern by carving it for you.

Farmer Copleys Pumpkin Festival is back for 2023 and we can’t wait! We’re growing over 37 different varieties and we’ll have plenty of entertainment, food, drink and loads of new things to do at the UK’s Original Pumpkin Experience.

We open for pumpkin picking on 30th September – tickets will be available early next week. With over 70 thousand pumpkins planted this year and lots of different varieties to choose from, whether you wish your pumpkin mini, regular or even jumbo, white, pink, blue, yellow or of course orange the choice is yours.
Tractor and trailer rides are included in the ticket price. There are lots of Halloween photo opportunities around the farm and our face painters will be on hand to transform your little ones (for an additional cost)

Bring the whole family along to join the fun – as well as thousands of pumpkins to choose from we have a children’s play area and delicious refreshments for all ages to enjoy. Beautiful autumn backdrops for the perfect family photo opportunity!
This year we’ve grown even more pumpkins than before – we have carving pumpkins ranging from so small they’ll fit in a toddler’s hand up to ones that will fill a wheelbarrow! We have also grown even more of the delicious eating varieties this year and lots of different decorative pumpkins – all shapes, colours and sizes! There’s a pumpkin for everyone!
