We’ve found events in all of the counties in the East Midlands and there are plenty of ideas to keep you busy during the October half-term of 2025. Things to do October Half Term – Halloween – Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Northamptonshire.

Belvoir Castle – Halloween at the Castle – Lincolnshire
Pumpkin Picking and Animal Park adventures – Join us for Pumpkin Picking and Animal Park fun this autumn! From 11th October (weekends only) and every day from 18th October – 2nd November. Our spooktacular Halloween Trail returns this October half term. Can you find the ghosts hiding around Burghley’s Sculpture Garden? Hall Farm Park – Autumn Fun on the Farm – Lincolnshire
Our pumpkin patch will be open from Saturday 18th October until Friday 31st October (park closed Wednesday 22nd). The patch will be open from 11am-12.30pm and 2-3.45pm with the exception of Monday 20th, Tuesday 21st and Thursday 23rd October when it will be open between 11am-12pm and 2.30-3.15pm (park closed Wednesday 22nd). Please note that there is an additional charge for the purchase of pumpkins. Mini Meadows Farm – Halloween 2025 – Northamptonshire
Begin your eerie quest by venturing into the Forbidden Forest for a frightfully fun-filled adventure in our spooktacular new seasonal offering. The next stop on your quest are Pumpkin Town and the Gruesome Graveyard. But beware! As you creep along the trail, you’ll meet some creepy characters who will guide you, trick you, and maybe even treat you as you scavenge for the seven lost charms hidden deep within our twisting trails.

National Justice Museum – Kids, ghost hunter tours – Nottinghamshire

We’ve got daytime ‘Hocus Pocus Trains‘ running both Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th, suitable for all ages. Sundown Adventureland – Spooktacular – Nottinghamshire
On the trail, the aim is to find all of our Halloween characters who are hiding around the park. If you don’t know them already, they are known as Spike, Gretchin, Boltz, UGO and the Unknown Pharaoh who is bejewelled with chunky gold chains and gigantic, gleaming Amethyst.
At each hiding place, there’s a stamp to allow you to stamp your cards (you can always ask a grown-up for help if needed!). To make it a little easier, at each location, there will also be a clue telling you which area of the park the next member of the scream team is hiding. Tattershall Farm Park – Wynterdown Witches & Wizards School – Lincolnshire
Wynterdown Witches & Wizards School – The experience is truly interactive, and lasts around 1 hour, and the activities are all included. Outside Wynterdown (at your chosen time) you will meet your guide – a prefect. They will sort you into houses and help you find your way around on your first day. Together you’ll make your own magic wand and cast magic spells. Curious Cauldrons, Potion (Slime) Making classes, and a Magical Botany class led by Professor Wildweed are all part of the curriculum at Wynterdown School for Witches and Wizards. Finally, follow your guide through Trick or Treat Street, and you’ll graduate from school by learning to zoom on your broom.
You can alsovisit their pumpkin patch – it is totally separate from the farm. So, you’ll be able to visit this and select your own pumpkins to buy without paying Farm Park entry.
