With 47 pools and Hurghada’s biggest waterpark, the Pickalbatross Jungle Aqua Park resort is a great choice for families. The bungalow-style rooms are dotted around the grounds so you are never far from the water. Hurghada is the second biggest town on the Red Sea and thanks to its world-renowned coral reefs it is one of Egypt’s busiest holiday destinations. To the north is the historic old town and to the south is its brand-new palm-lined village road.
The hotel runs a shuttle bus to the beach and Hurghada Airport is just a 25-minute coach transfer away. When it comes to dining there is a choice of 11 themed restaurants.
Highlights
With 47 on-site pools just about everywhere you look there’s a pool. Sizes range from huge lagoon pools to smaller, quieter ones. The main heated pool is where you will find lots of daytime activities. Just a short walk from the main hotel is the waterpark that boasts 81 slides.
The Jungle Auqa Park has slides for all ages plus a lazy river, a wave pool and an Aqua Tower. Please note that some slides have age and/or height restrictions. Younger kids also have their own splash park with a tube slide, tipping bucket and a mushroom fountain.

Your Board Basis
Guests stay at this hotel on an all-inclusive basis. This includes a buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are also snacks at selected times at three different places. Plus a wide selection of national drinks including alcohol and soft drinks are included. Drinks are All Inclusive from 10 am until midnight. Outside of these hours, drinks are charged.
Restaurants range from German places to Italian and Asian and so many more. There is also a great range of bars to choose from including one with a resident live singer.
Additional Activities
Other facilities include floodlit tennis courts and a football pitch. Plus table tennis, mini golf, watersports, scuba diving, beach volleyball, a playground, video games and more. Some facilities have an additional charge. Adults can enjoy some me time at the Spa with a sauna, steam bath and massages. There is also a gym.
Entertainment
For children aged 4-12, there is a hotel-run kid’s club. In the evenings you can watch shows and take your pick from 8 themed bars. Children have a mini-disco and there is one for the adults that goes on until late.
Room Options
Accommodation-wise there are bungalows that sleep up to 4 people that have a sliding door between the beds. Their double rooms sleep up to 3 people and families will love their 2 bedroom family rooms. These enjoy a pool view with either a balcony or a terrace. All rooms have a walk-in shower, a TV, a minibar with water refilled daily, a kettle, air conditioning and free Wi-Fi.
