The Premier Inn in Bridlington is our favourite place to stay in Brid. It was built just a few years ago and it not only commands a good position on the seafront but it’s comfy and good value for money.
Stays at Premier Inn can still only be booked via their website. If you book enough in advance there are some really good deals, especially out of season. The hotel is very popular during the summer months and can soon be fully booked.
The Premier Inn in Bridlington also has one of our favourite restaurants in town on-site, the Cookhouse and Pub. I need to add that we have stayed in a lot of accommodation in Bridlington so I am speaking from experience and nothing else.
About the Premier Inn in Bridlington – Check In
If the hotel isn’t too busy you can easily put in a request for room location. We usually ask for the top floor away from the lift door. This can be the quietest part of the hotel. We hear a lot less when staying away from the lift door. As Bridlington is a seaside town there are a lot of seagulls. Luckily the Premier Inn has been pretty well soundproofed and it’s rare for us to hear them.
The hotel sits on the plot of an old car park for the town. Because of its position, it means that the main front of the hotel faces other buildings rather than the sea. However, you can still see the sea from most of the rooms.
There is plenty of parking at the hotel and it is pay and display. Even if you are staying at the hotel you will need to pay £5.00 a day to park. You will also need an additional hotel guest pass to display in your car window. It is confusing as it mentions free parking on their website. It does not currently have free parking.
You can check in online in advance. They have two online check-in computers in reception. If you scan your ticket in here it will then give you your room key card. If you do this you won’t be able to request where your room is located. They do have a maned desk so it may be worth checking in with them. If you need any snacks or drinks they have two machines by the ground floor lifts.
The Rooms at the Premier Inn Bridlington
The rooms at the Premier Inn are a good size. We booked a family room that has a luxury king-size bed and a single put-up bed. The king-size bed is literally the comfiest bed I have ever slept in. I always want to take it home! You can actually purchase the same beds that Premier Inn uses. The pillows are usually pretty comfy as well. We love the multi-coloured light above the bed.
All the rooms have free Wi-Fi which is quick and efficient. All rooms also have air conditioning. Please note that the windows do not open at all here. The family room has a reasonably sized bathroom with an overhead shower. They provide soap and shower gel from dispenses on the wall.
The rooms also have tea and coffee-making facilities. There is also a desk and a chair. We have never had an issue with daylight streaming through the curtains either. The rooms have a small hanging area for clothes with a few hangars. This is also where there is a laptop-sized safe.
Cookhouse and Pub Restaurant
The Cookhouse and Pub restaurant is a lovely place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It also has a large bar area so it’s perfect for relaxing with a drink. If the weather is nice enough you can take your drink outside and look out to sea. They serve a great breakfast here in the morning.
The breakfast at the Cookhouse and Pub is excellent. You can have it added to your room rate or just turn up and pay on the day. It isn’t cheap at £9.95 for the full breakfast but with one paying adult one child can eat for free. This makes it very good value for money. The choice is epic. As well as the usual full English options they have pancakes, juices, cereal, toast, bakery items, fruit salad and so much more.
For lunch and dinner, they have an all-day menu. There is a really good selection at good value-for-money prices. The portion sizes are good and the food is always hot and tasty.
Location of the Premier Inn Bridlington
Address: Albion Terrace, Bridlington, East Riding Of YorkshireYO15 2PJ
The Premier Inn in Bridlington is located right by North Beach. The North Beach is great for rock pools when the tide is out. There are a lot of white pebbles on the beach but still plenty of sand for building sandcastles. There are some takeaways very local to the hotel plus a pharmacy and a small convenience store. The Premier Inn is the building in the middle of this photo, standing by itself.
It is just a short walk to the Leisure centre where you will find a great swimming pool, wall climbing facilities, a gym, cafe and more. Just on from here is the main town of Bridlington with restaurants, shops, amusements, fairground rides and more.
