The castle-like Riu Funana enjoys a great location right by a powder-soft beach. It is just a short drive to the centre of Sal. Sal is part of Cape Verde which is a group of 10 islands located off the west coast of Africa. The airport on Sal is just a 30-minute coach transfer to the hotel.

The board at this hotel is all-inclusive. This includes a buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner with live cooking stations. There are also themed buffet dinners twice a week and light meals can be enjoyed at the poolside restaurant. Guests can choose to enjoy dinner at the Mandalay Asian buffet restaurant, the Mambana grill buffet and the Kulinarium a la carte restaurant, reservations are needed. Snacks and selected local-brand alcohol, soft drinks, tea and coffee are available 24 hours a day.
