There is plenty to do on a day out at Crich Tramway village located in Crich near Matlock Bath. There are at least 60 trams that you can look at plus 3 different trams ride up and down the lines a day. One stops every 10 minutes at the main terminus. You are entitled to ride, with your entrance ticket, as much as you like that day. A visit to Crich Tramway village is like stepping back in time.

What is there to do at Crich Tramway Village?

On the site, you will find authentic shops, Red Lion Pub, a tea room, street lamps and more. You can walk around most of the buildings. There’s also a small exhibition of mining equipment. At the top of the tramway village, I recommend getting off the tram and walking down through their woodland walk and sculpture trail. There’s plenty to find including some really unique sculptures, a mini maze and a playground at the bottom.

Indoors there is a small soft play area which is themed on trams. There is also a great exhibition hall with various trams over the decades. They have a few interactive displays here. Plus a workshop where you can see them working on the trams. Other indoor exhibitions include the Derby Assembly rooms and dress-up, a tram depot and the George Stephenson Discovery and Learning Centre.
