Welcome to our what’s on guide this Easter in the South West in 2024. This includes events and attractions that are open in Cornwall – Devon – Dorset – Gloucestershire – Somerset & Bristol – Wiltshire. Please check with the attractions that they are open and their events are running before you leave home. Please note we have not included any entrance fees below. American Museum and Gardens – Somerset

Event – Easter Eggcitement About – Easter trail – Hunt for our creative and colourful egg installations throughout the daffodil-filled gardens and answer the simple quiz question at each egg station to complete the fun trail with a chocolate treat at the end. The trail is £3.50 in addition to admission. Enjoy creative Easter activities at our crafting station and take part in an egg roll race on the terrace lawn every day.

Event – Chocolate Train About – Help us celebrate Easter and see our restored locomotive from the Fry’s chocolate factory in Keynsham. Discover more about this special locomotive, see displays on its history and the factory it served and talk to retired employees who worked there. As a special Easter treat, we’ll also be giving children a FREE bar of Fry’s chocolate.

Event – Easter Fun About – Find out which of our animals lay eggs (some might surprise you) in our Easter-themed Challenge and win a go on our chocolate tombola. Prize every time. Not forgetting all our usual activities, including a choice of three signposted circular walking trails. You can take your time to explore over 50 acres of woodland rich in wildlife. Children can have a go at our free Nature Challenge which includes a prize for every child.

Event – Easter Holidays Trail About – Follow Nell’s Wildlife Trail as you explore the 14 acres of Bishop’s Palace gardens. Collect your trail from the entrance gate on your way in and get searching! There are twelve spring pictures to find and twelve clues to help you guess what will be in each picture. Complete your trail and return it to the ticket office to win a small prize.

Keep your wits about you as you explore The Longhouse this Easter holiday, as it’s taken over by predators big and small. Collect your trail booklet from the Ticket Office and follow Lowenna’s adventure as it unfolds through the pages and on the storyboards along the way. At each trail point, you’ll find out about the next step of our little lamb’s journey and collect a stamp for your booklet.

You can take on the quest every day of the school holidays, and it costs just £2 to take part. This is for each child, whether you’re a member or not, and it’s on top of the ticket price.
