They have a Gruffalo orienteering trail where you can also find Gruffalo sculptures. Some trails may have a small cost. They have a play area by the visitor centre and cafe.

This is a great spot for picnics. There’s a shallow stream at the bottom perfect for paddling in. The main playground has a large climbing structure with a tube slide plus other slides, an assault course, swings, a toddler area and more. In the woods, there is also the Grandfather’s oak play area with den building.

Dalby Forest has one of the many nationwide Go Ape treetop courses. There’s a junior course for younger children and a much higher and more difficult course for older children and adults. This is a paid activity. Forest segway is also available. With donations and volunteers, they are also attempting to build a drystone wall maze.
