Bute Park
Bute Park is located in the centre of Cardiff in Wales. It is behind Cardiff Castle, just a short walk from the city’s main high streets and civic centre. It is said to be the green heart of the city.
The park offers a range of attractions for you to enjoy and explore. Families can enjoy a Woodland Play trail situated behind the summerhouse cafe. There are 11 outdoor play items with two upside-down trees marking the start and finish of the trail. There are also many other natural play features around the park including sculptures, seats and fallen trees.
There are also a few other trails including a History Points trail that you can download plus a couple of tree trails, a nature activity trail, seasonal, discovery trails and many more. There is even a stone circle, planting and a bat meadow. There are twenty-one sculptures to discover throughout the park. From the park, there is also a water taxi service that is a unique and fun way to travel to the park. There are two services that run and it’s important to note that the service is weather permitting.
