Newark Park National Trust

Newark Park is maintained by the National Trust and is situated close to Wotton-Under-Edge in Gloucestershire. It is a Grade 1 listed country house that sits in an estate of 700 acres. The house was originally built around the mid-16th Century.

What is there to do at Newark Park National Trust?

There is plenty for families to enjoy in the gardens. There is usually a trail that you can pick up from the visitor reception. There is also a fun woodland play area with wild animal carvings and a folly play area. There are lots to climb and play on and unleash your kid’s imagination.

With so much space to explore, there are three main coloured walking routes ranging in distance and many enjoy some spectacular views. The orange route tends to close over winter. You can also explore the walled garden and the gardens with a rockery and a quirky folly. You might even spot one of their resident peacocks. You can also explore the ground floor of the house.

There is a cafe serving hot and cold food and drinks. You are welcome to picnic in the grounds.

What are the main things to do?

Historic estate with waymarked walks, a woodland play area and gardens and you can look around plus part of the house. There are toilets and a cafe.

What are the ticket prices?

Free to members of the National Trust. An adult standard ticket is £13, £6.50 for a child and children aged under 5 are free. Other pricing options are available.

There is parking nearby and charges apply. Members of the National Trust can park for free.

When are they open?
