Things to do at Newark Park National Trust review

Newark Park is maintained by the National Trust and is situated close to Wotton-Under-Edge in Gloucestershire. It is a Grade 1 listed country house that sits in an estate of 700 acres. The house was originally built around the mid 16th Century.

There is plenty for families to enjoy in the gardens. There is usually a trail that you can pick up from the visitor reception. There is also a fun woodland play area with wild animal carvings and a folly play area. There are lots to climb and play on and unleash your kid’s imaginations.

With so much space to explore there are three main coloured walking routes ranging in distance, many enjoy some spectacular views. The orange route tends to close over winter. You can also explore the walled garden and the gardens with a rockery and a quirky folly. You might even spot one of their resident peacocks. You can also explore the ground floor of the house.

Covid 19 – Please check the website or social media of an attraction before visiting. Many places may be open differently and some remain closed. Reviews do not mention all of these changes or possible price changes. Most places still require you to pre-book online in advance.
