Amelia Trust Farm

The Amelia Trust Farm is a children’s farm near Barry in South Wales. It is a petting farm and educational centre with woodland trails. There are wide open spaces for a picnic. Camping on-site is available and they also have a 19-bed bunkhouse.

At the farm, they are home to over 20 species of animals, from guinea pigs to donkeys. They are a registered charity care farm as well as a donkey sanctuary. They are devoted to caring for their animals, and every effort goes into ensuring the highest standard of welfare and care. Other animals include alpacas, cats, ducks, chickens, pigs, goats, sheep, horses and rabbits.

Spend some time down at the pond or bird spotting in the bird hide. There are play areas for the kids and you can even hire a BBQ from them. In the woodlands, there are green play areas with a fitness trail and an animal trail. You can also pick up an activity sheet and take your family on a self-led learning trail.
