Down At The Farm
Down at the Farm is a children’s farm in Houghton Le Spring, Tyne and Wear. Located in between Durham and Sunderland they have lots of outdoor play areas and farm animals, to see.
What is there to do at Down At The Farm?
There is so much outdoor fun to be had at the farm. They have two outdoor air bouncers plus a Mega Playzone. There are electric Racing cars (£1 a go), a mini-play area, a Treehouse play area, a zip line, Digger themed slide, JCB play and a Giant sandpit plus a tube maze.
Some rides are included in admission such as their tractor rides. This takes you up the hill to meet the cows at scheduled times throughout the day. They also have a Bumpy Barrel ride for kids aged 2 and over. This is again included with admission and they run at scheduled times throughout the day. You can pay £3 for your kids to have a go at Junior quad biking. This is for children age 6 and over and they get 5 laps per child plus training.
There are plenty of animals to see including tortoises, alpacas, meerkats, red deer, donkeys and goats. Plus birds, sheep, raccoons, pigs, cows and rabbits.

There is a cafe serving hot and cold food and drinks. You are welcome to bring a picnic.
What are the main things to do?
Farm park with a great range of animals and lots of outdoor play including play equipment, bouncing pillows, a maze, JCB play and a sandpit. Plus tractor-trailer and barrel rides. There are toilets and a cafe.
What are the ticket prices?
Tickets are cheaper if purchased online in advance. An adult ticket online costs £7.50, children 2+ £7. children under 2 are free.
