British Wildlife Centre

The British Wildlife Centre is in the heart of the Surrey countryside in Lingfield. It is home to one of the finest collections of native British Wildlife with over 40 different native species.

What is there to see at the British Wildlife Centre?

To help you get the most out of your visit there are half-hourly keeper talks that give you a further opportunity to learn about their animals and to see them close up. Their animals include badgers, barn owls, fallow deer, red squirrels (walk-through enclosure) and foxes. Plus buzzards, owls, mink, otters, polecats and there is even a nocturnal house.

Pip’s corner is a wildlife-themed activity area with activities such as building a heron’s nest, exploring an underground badger set, climbing up an otter bank and more. These activities are most suited to children aged 3-6. Some of their indoor areas are themed according to their animal’s habitats such as hedgerow and barn animals.

The centre has a 600-metre boardwalk that takes you into their 26-acre wetland nature reserve. There you can experience wonderful views and hopefully spot some of their wild animals.
