Pleasure Beach Great Yarmouth

Pleasure Beach Great Yarmouth

The Pleasure Beach in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, is located on the seafront and it is home to a number of family-friendly rides with something for all ages. The park first opened in 1909 and has been operating ever since. The largest and most popular ride at the park is the Roller Coaster which was built at the park in 1932.

There are around thirty other large rides at the park, as well as children’s entertainment, amusement arcades, catering facilities, sweet shops and ice cream parlours. Rides are paid for by tokens or wristbands purchased at the main reception or at machines inside the park, although this did change in 2020 to pre-paid entry only for everyone. There are height restrictions on some of the rides.

Thrill rides at the Pleasure Beach include Disko, Log Flume, Pirate Ship, Twister, Rollercoaster, Reverse Time and Sky Drop. Then there’s a selection of family rides including a Big Apple coaster, Dodgems, Flying Dumbo, Fun Factory, Monorail and Whirlwind. Plus a Haunted hotel and the fast Family Star ride. Kid’s rides include Bonanza horse ride, Cups and Saucers, Formula One, Freefall, Snails and Fairy Tales, Gallopers, Raft ride and Yo-Yo. Adults can go on some of these rides, but not all.
