What is there to do at Kingston Maurward Gardens and Animal Park?

The beautiful grade 2 listed gardens and lake are home to the animal park. Animals you can see include birds, pigs, ducks, rabbits, ponies, goats and more. Most of their animals you can feed and by visiting you help contribute to their work helping animals, through the Rare Breeds Survival Trust.

There is a large indoor play area with an outdoor feel to it as it is mostly made of wood and the flooring is astroturf. There are nets, climbing areas, walkways and a tube slide. The grounds include 35 acres of formal gardens and they were created early in the 20th century within the existing framework of an 18th-century Capability Brown-style parkland. There are 11 different themed areas to explore including The Temple mound, a Japanese garden, an Elizabethan walled garden and there is even a secret garden.

There is a cafe in the indoor play barn area serving hot and cold food and drinks. You are welcome to bring a picnic.
