The farm is worked using 19th-century methods to grow and harvest the land with horsepower and steam/early vintage tractors. They also host various family-friendly events, throughout the year. Plus experience days although these are more for the ‘older’ visitor.
Daily activities at the farm include animal feeding, milking of their jersey cows and traditional butter making, these are with the help of you and your family. During the day their heavy shire horses will be out in harnesses. You will have the opportunity to take the reins and experience driving them. There are also traditional farm buildings full of vintage tractors and machinery.
There is an ice cream parlour made with milk from their Jersey herd. You can also sometimes see the ice cream being made. They have many different flavours for you to try. You don’t need a farm ticket to visit the ice cream parlour. They also have a play barn and outdoor ride-on tractors. Old Hall Farm can host your child’s birthday party. The farm also has a maize maze in the summer months.
