Shepherds Place Farm
Shepherds Place Farm is in Hexey, Lincolnshire. Although it is near to Doncaster it is not part of South Yorkshire. It is a great family-friendly place to visit and you can get up close and personal with many farmyard favourites.
Things to do at Shepherds Place Farm
They started as an educational petting farm and they are still that today but they now also have a few extra facilities. They continue to add new and exciting features to their farm. They now have a 7000 square foot indoor soft play area with some fun slides and a cafe. There’s plenty for kids to climb and have fun on. There is an area for 0-4-year-olds plus the larger play area which is for children up to 12 years old.
Animals at the farm include meerkats, alpacas, wallabies, pigs, ducks and geese. Plus goats, chickens, tortoises, guinea pigs, prairie dogs and more. They have animal handling sessions throughout the day. There is also a small play area outside including a sandpit and a giant bouncy pillow.
They can also host your child’s party with food, entrance to the farm and a hands-on handling session. If you have a big appetite why not try their 65-item full breakfast challenge for £15 or their gigantic Viking Burger for £20? (honestly, both could feed a family of four never mind one person)
