Meridian Leisure Centre

We have spent many happy hours in the swimming pool at the Meridian Leisure Centre in Louth, Lincolnshire. It has an excellent swimming pool and a leisure pool. There is a 25-metre swimming pool plus a leisure pool. The leisure pool is shallow and not really suitable for swimming but it is perfect for kids to gain confidence in the water. Even toddlers can run around without going too deep. It’s always lovely and warm as well, one of the warmest pools I’ve been in.

The major bonus with the leisure pool is the fun pirate ship. There are cannons that shoot out water and two child-only slides. They also have a tube flume which even smaller kids can ride with an adult. There are also family-friendly inflatable sessions in the larger pool.

They also have a sports hall where they sometimes hold toddler bouncy castle/soft play sessions. Plus a multi-use games area. They also offer swimming lessons in their main pool. Additional activities include football, gymnastics, football and holiday clubs. The centre can also host your child’s birthday party.

Is there food and drink available?

There is a cafe on-site which serves hot and cold food and drinks. I can recommend their homemade cakes.

What are the main things to do?

Leisure centre with a 25m pool, a leisure pool with a pirate ship, slides and a flume. Plus a sports hall. There are toilets and plenty of changing cubicles, they have around 5-6 large family changing cubicles.

What are the ticket prices?

4 years plus general swim prices from £4.40 and children. Other pricing options are available. If you apply for a Magna Vite card (free) you can receive a discount on your ticket.

Is there parking?

There is free on-site parking.
