Skegness Aquarium
Skegness Aquarium is located just a short walk from the sea in Skegness, Lincolnshire. It can be found right in the heart of this famous seaside town’s attractions and it is just a few years old.
Things to do at Skegness Aquarium
The aquarium has been wonderfully themed on the story and characters of Treasure Island. Join them as you are taken on a watery journey with a pirate world of lost treasure, sunken ships and marine life. The aquarium, itself isn’t massive so spend your time at each tank soaking in the different sea creatures and enjoying it for what it is.
There are also interactive zones along the way which kids will have great fun in learning all about life under the sea. There’s even a soft play area upstairs for younger kids to let off some steam. You can expect to see many different kinds of fish. There are even some sharks, rays and seahorses. In the wet lab, they have touch pool sessions plus daily talks. Kids can also get creative in their doodle cave. We love their interactive sandpit where you can create and change landscapes using your hands.
Outside they have an excellent dinosaur walk-through area where you can walk amongst some large dinosaurs and find out interesting facts about them.
