West Midland Safari Park
The West Midland Safari and leisure park is situated in Bewdley just outside of Kidderminster. The park is divided into two sections – a Safari Drive through and a Walk Through Leisure Park.
What is there to do at West Midland Safari Park?
There is a drive-through safari which does not feature cheeky monkeys so no need to worry about your car. The safari is divided into three sections and the route winds in and out of these continent-themed areas, offering a real variety of animals, to see on the tour. At the entrance, you can buy a box of animal feed to get a hands-on experience and feed the giraffes, deer, antelopes and cattle from your car window. This takes around 2-2.5 hours to drive around.
Out of your cars, there is a discovery trail with bats, creepy crawlies and fish. Plus an African village and a lemur walk. There are daily shows and animal handling. The adventure theme park has a good range of rides you can purchase an unlimited ride wristband or just individual ride tickets.
There is a Land of the Living Dinosaurs and Ice Age-themed area. Here you step back in time and learn about the beginnings of life on Earth. Some dinosaurs even move and roar! The dinosaur garden is attractively planted with palms, ferns, grasses and other ornamental plants with a path winding through.
