Dudmaston Hall is a National Trust property in Shropshire. There is a beautiful 17th-century house with sweeping gardens, wooded parkland and a play area. The house has been a family home for over 875 years and has a modern twist.

What is there to do at Dudmaston Hall National Trust?

The family rooms of the house are open from April to September. There are traditional rooms downstairs and they become more modern upstairs with many modern works of art. Modern art can also be seen outdoors including sculptures by Henry Moore and Barbara Hepworth.

The gardens are a delight all year round with a rolling landscape and different features. There are themed gardens including a rockery and an American garden. You can enjoy a walk around the gardens, the Dingle and the Big Pool. You can also explore a bit further and venture into Cromer Woods. There is a natural play area here which is a short walk out of Heath Meadow, just off the Explorer trail.

There are two further play areas. The orchard play area is near the visitor reception with a wooden hut with a watchtower. Plus a climbing frame and slide. There is also a woodland play area in Gerard’s Wood with wooden play equipment to suit all ages.
