Queen Street Mill Textile Museum

Museum Overview
Queen Street Mill Textile Museum is a former weaving mill located in Harle Syke, Lancashire. It is a Grade 1 listed building that now operates as a museum and a cafe. The mill is the last surviving 19th-century steam-powered weaving mill in the world.
The mill is a nostalgic time capsule of the late Victorian age that brings the textile industry to life. You can see the mighty steam engine ‘peace’ and the coal-fired boilers. There is a weaving shed which still contains 308 Lancashire looms.
You can join a guided tour to find out more about what it was really like to work in a cotton mill. There are live demonstrations of working machinery and the mill enjoys some panoramic views. Why not extend your visit and enjoy a walk around the village?
