Cliffe House Shepley

Cliffe House is located in Shepley, near Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. As well as hosting residential stays for schools they also run a variety of outdoor adventure activities during the Kirklees school holidays aimed to keep families and kids entertained. It is best suited to primary-age children.

What is there to do at Cliffe House Shepley?

There is an adventure playground which is open to the public during Kirklees school holidays Monday to Friday, 10.00 am to 3.00 pm (excluding bank holidays). Recommended age from 8yrs+ The playground has an adventurous play area with ropes, swings, slides and a treehouse. There is also an area where children can experience play in the natural environment and build dens.

Other on-site activities include a family nature trail, climbing, bushcraft, archery, pond dipping and more. Please contact them to find out what activities are available during the school holidays. Yes, but only during Kirklees school holiday opening hours. A small kiosk located in the adventure playground serves up food and drink.

Excellent adventure playground aimed at primary age kids plus extra organised activities. There are toilets and a kiosk serving food and drink.

Is there parking?

There is free limited parking for up to 40 vehicles.

Please consider using public transport or alternative means of transport, e.g. walking, cycling. If travelling by car, please follow car parking notices & if applicable staff directions. Please park within designated parking bays and only park in a disabled parking bay if you have a blue badge to display. If you must park on the road, please park considerately and avoid blocking access to roadways, driveways & footpaths. Why not park a little distance from the house & enjoy a walk to the grounds.

Dog friendly?

They welcome well-behaved dogs & responsible owners. Dogs must be kept on a short lead at all times & under control. Dogs are not permitted in the adventure playground.
