Swindon and Cricklade Railway
Swindon and Cricklade Railway is a heritage railway located in Blunsdon, near Swindon, Wiltshire. It operates on a short section of the old Midland and South Western Junction railway line between Swindon and Cricklade.
What can you do at Swindon and Cricklade Railway?
They are Wiltshire’s only standard gauge heritage railway. Blunsdon is home to the main visitor centre with car parking, a cafe, a picnic area and a shop. Whereas Hayes Knoll gives visitors the opportunity to see various restoration projects in the engine shed.
Trains are powered by steam or diesel locomotives. They also run a range of family-friendly events, including seasonal, events, festivals and more. There is a small museum open most weekends and special event days, plus a small wartime museum.
