Huxleys Bird of Prey Centre

Huxley’s Bird of Prey Centre is located in Hilliers Garden Centre in Horsham, Sussex. What was once a dumping ground for the garden centre has now been transformed.

As well as offering experiences they are also open on certain days to the public. From the Easter half-term to the October half-term they are open Wednesday to Sunday and for the rest of the year, they are most open weekends. Their flying displays are weather permitting and are twice daily. Plus they run ‘meet a bird’ sessions twice a day. Their aviaries are set around the sides of the garden so you can wander around the path.

They run three different experiences, a Hawk walk, owl and raptor afternoon plus a raptor day. On their hawk walk you will see their raptors fly over open country and through woodland to land on your glove. This is a fully private experience and children must be accompanied by an adult.

The Owl and Raptor afternoon gives you the chance to fly a range of birds during their display and you will learn about the birds they have at their centre. You will get close to eagles, buzzards, owls, hawks and falcons. The raptor day is their most popular experience and it gives you the opportunity to be hands-on with a range of their birds.

Adults are £10, children aged 2-15 are £5 and under 2 are free. Experiences are at a higher cost.
