Plessey Woods Country Park

Plessey Woods Country Park is located in Plessey, Northumberland. The park is around 100 acres in size and has woodland and wild-flower-clad meadows and it is situated on the north bank of the River Blyth.

Around the park, there is a network of paths making this a great place for walkers, cyclists, horse riders and picnickers. Along the bank of the river, you may even spot otters or kingfishers.

For families, there are self-guided trails and children’s trails with clues. A local artist has also created a sculpture trail. The art trail is free and there are animal trail signs you can follow. There are lots of fun things to do along the way.

The park has a children’s play area and there is an area for den building. The play area has lots of wooden equipment with things to climb on, swings, slides, a see-saw and more.
