Turbary Woods Owl and Bird of Prey Sanctuary
Turbary Woods Owl and Bird of Prey Sanctuary is located near Preston in Lancashire. They are an avian centre for protector raptor species and they have daily flying demonstrations, a small play area and treasure hunts for kids.
The centre is for the rescue and rehabilitation of birds of prey. They have over 90 birds including eagles, hawks, falcons, owls, vultures and some more unusual species. Their birds are all housed in large open-fronted aviaries which are located in a woodland setting.
They also run owl and hawk experience days. Although these aren’t available to children as they are run on weekdays during term time. Please note that their daily flying displays will not take place if there is avian flu in the local area and they are also subject to weather conditions.
