Wat Tyler Country Park

The Wat Tyler Country Park is located near Pitsea in Essex. It is home to 125 acres of country walks, wildlife spotting and an adventure play area for children.
There is a path around the perimeter of the park that is flat with a firm surface. Trails include an explosives trail where you can see mysterious grassy mounds that were formed back in the days of dynamite-controlled explosions by the Pitsea Explosives factory. There is a WWII trail and a sculpture trail. Each trail has been designed to help you explore the park.
The play park features a running wheel, zip wires, swings and more. It’s free, to use and close to the car park and cafe. There is a miniature railway that runs close to the park and has a small charge. Also for children, there is the possibility to book a woodland adventure party. You can also try out pond dipping with wildlife experts and other exciting activities.
