Audley End Miniature Railway
Audley End Miniature Railway is a family-fun train ride through woodland plus an Enchanted Fairy and Elf Walk in Audley End, Essex. They have both steam and diesel engines at Audley End. The challenge on your journey is to spot the many teddies that live in the woods. The woodland was designed by Capability Brown. There is also plenty of wildlife to spot along the 1.5-mile track.
There is a Woodland I Spy sheet to take with you, you might even spot a Pill Box from WWII. There are fun tunnels along the way and the train crosses the river. The Enchanted Fairy and Elf Walk is full of magic. Try and find the Elves and Fairies that live in their handmade wooden Tree Houses dotted throughout the walk.
Children can start the trail by making their own Fairy or Elf wand to enable their magical spotting powers. They can then tick them off in their I Spy Booklet. Kids can let off steam in the adventure play area with slides, tunnels and plenty of imaginative play. The equipment was new in 2020.
