What is there to do at Beechenhurst Forest?

The forest is a great place for all the family and it is one of Britain’s oldest and largest woodlands. They often have themed-family friendly trails in the forest such as Superworm, The Gruffalo or Shaun the sheep. Families can also enjoy a waymarked family cycle trail which is a circular route mainly on former railway lines with connecting routes to villages and picnic sites.

They also have a number of waymarked trails or smaller paths that crisscross the forest. These range in length and difficulty. There is also a large play area with a host of wooden play equipment plus a separate specially-made section for toddlers. Things to do include a zip line, nest swing and a mining-themed climbing frame.
