Buckfastleigh Open Air Pool Overview
The Hamlyn family gave the park and swimming pool to the town of Buckfastleigh in 1887 to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria. The pool is struggling financially and really needs your help to keep it going for future generations.
During the months of spring and summer, the pool is heated to around 27oC. They even sometimes open in the colder months for cold-water swimming. Kids love their fun inflatable sessions on Saturday afternoons and there is a sun deck plus a covered seating area for spectators.
