Cannon Hall is a country house museum with parkland and gardens near Cawthorne in South Yorkshire. The estate is run by the council and the hall has a programme of events, including children’s activities. The hall and estate are all free, to visit.

What is there to do at Cannon Hall Museum Park and Gardens?

The house was once a family home but today it houses a collection of fine furniture, paintings, ceramics and glassware and occupies four rooms in the west wing.

The 70 acres of parkland that surrounds the hall was landscaped in the 18th Century. It features parkland, lakes, waterfalls, follies and some fantastic views. There are Victorian pleasure grounds and a walled garden. You will also find a play area for the kids.

There is a cafe serving hot and cold food and drinks. You are welcome to bring a picnic.
