Clifton Park is a large and activity-filled park in the heart of Rotherham, South Yorkshire. It’s not just a place for walks amongst their gardens, there is plenty for the family to do there and certainly a place you could spend a good few hours visiting.

What is there to do at Clifton Park Rotherham?

There are lots of different areas in the park, there’s even a land train that takes people between the two main areas. This costs just £1.50 for a return ticket. There is a large free, -to-use playground with something for all ages including swings, things to climb on, slides and a zip wire. It even has a 10-metre-high slide, if you dare. Take a change of clothes as there is a large sandpit with different things to play with.

The water splash area is a big highlight during the warmer months. It is completely free, to use with fountains, a paddling pool. whirlpool and over 70 water jets that shoot water at random. Golden Putter is the park’s crazy golf course. It is an excellent facility and really well-maintained. The 18-hole course is great fun for young and old. It is open for most of spring and summer and selected dates in autumn and winter.

The Fun Park has a good choice of rides and games to choose from with something for younger and older children. There’s a log flume, coaster, train, mini coaster, bumper cars and more. Rides are priced in credits at £1 for each credit, most rides are 1 credit. It opens on the same days as the crazy golf course.

Plus there are tennis courts, a skate park, a bowling green and a rock garden There is even a museum. It is a modern museum that takes you through Rotherham’s history with plenty to see and do. The museum is free, to visit.
