Coalbrookdale Museum of Iron

The Coalbrookdale Museum of Iron is located in Coalbrookdale near Ironbridge, Shropshire and it is one of ten Ironbridge Gorge museums. At the museum, you will be able to find out how iron particularly Coalbrookdale iron changed the course of the world. There are some stunning exhibits, exquisite art castings and functional cookware all made from iron.
There is a truly stunning Eagle Slayer statue plus exhibits from the legendary Great Exhibition of 1851. You can also see inside Abraham Darby’s original old furnace, hear the Clock Tower bell chime and enjoy the views from the top floor of the museum.
