Conwy Valley Railway Museum

Conwy Valley Railway Museum

The Conwy Valley Railway Museum is located in the picturesque Betws-y-Coed in North Wales. They have miniature train rides on the site of the old railway goods yard.

There is an on-site museum that contains various railway artefacts and a scale replica of a Britannia class locomotive. There are a number of interactive railway models that are controlled by the press of a button. The museum was founded in the early 1970s and there is a railway carriage on-site which is now a licensed buffet and restaurant car.

The miniature steam railway runs for 1 mile on the site. The journey takes about 8-10 minutes and takes you through the landscaped grounds. Their trains run most days in the summer season and at weekends. There is usually a steam engine pulling the train. Their diesel engine may sometimes be in service.
