Cotebrook Shire Horse Centre
Cotebrook Shire Horse Centre is a three-time winner of Cheshire’s “Visitor attraction of the year”. The centre is set in 50 acres of beautiful countryside and is great for a family-friendly day out.
They have up to 25 horses at any time for you to meet. At the centre, you can learn all about the Shire horse, from its history carrying knights in armour to the important stud work today. As well as being able to meet the horses there are also regular talks.
As well as the horses there is also a selection of British animals, both wild and domesticated. There is a mile-long Nature Trail to meet the horses further afield. As well as daily talks they also have Shetland Pony grooming sessions.
