Things to do at Deep Sea World review

Deep Sea World is located in North Queensferry, Fife, Scotland. It is Scotland’s National aquarium, and it is home to an exciting range of sea life from sharks to seals and from piranhas to stingrays.

You can explore the breezy shorelines of Scotland and the stifling jungles of the Amazon. There are themed exhibitions to wander through and you can marvel at their fascinating sea creatures, marine life and amphibians. They aim to educate and inspire people of all ages by sharing information about the amazing habitats and lives of creatures in oceans around the world.

You can walk through their fascinating Underwater Safari which is the longest underwater tunnel in the UK. There you can get up close to one of the largest collections of sharks in Europe and see them swimming over your head. All their marine life and creatures are kept in conditions as close to their natural habitat as possible. Their exhibits are constantly changing and evolving so there’s usually something different to see.

Main exhibit areas include the tunnel, seals, Amazon, Piranha, Krakatoa and Lake Malawi. Plus rocky shores and amphibians. There are two separate rock pools where you can see and experience the many different varieties of sea life that live around the British coastline. They have daily talks and feeds at the centre.

They can even host your child’s birthday party plus you can book a shark dive experience. There is a shark encounter for anyone age over 16 (£195, includes two spectators), a junior shark experience for anyone age 8-15 (£120 includes one free, spectator).
