Dock Park

Dock Park

Dock Park is located in Dumfries near the Dumfries Museum. It is a waterfront park with play equipment and a mini-golf course. The park has seen massive regeneration of its facilities.

You can find out more about the park’s rich and varied history through the use of interpretation boards in the park and the conservation of historic features. Its centrepiece is the nineteenth-century bandstand which has been restored to its former glory.

There is some excellent new play equipment that is more suitable for all ages and abilities with bright and appealing colours. Children will especially love to play on the ‘sinking ship’. There is a historic maze which has been in place since the 1970s and a Peter Pan-themed mini golf area that has been designed by a local artist. The entrances and pathways have also seen recent improvements.
