Donkey Sanctuary Manchester
The Donkey Sanctuary Manchester is located in Abbey Hey, Greater Manchester. One of ten locations across the UK and Europe their donkeys each have a unique and special character.
For over 50 years they have worked to transform the lives of donkeys across the world. They are open to the general public on limited days of the year. Their aim is to educate people on the importance of how people treat animals.
The sanctuary is located on 10 acres of land and has been at the heart of the local community for over 18 years. Since then over 20,000 donkeys have passed through their doors on their way to their new and forever homes. You can take a tour, chat with their staff and stroke some of the donkeys.
