Fineshade Wood is a large forest north of Corby in Northamptonshire. There is plenty to do in the forest including walks, cycling and some great play areas.

What is there to do at Fineshade Wood?

The forest has some exciting play areas including tree houses in the woods. There is plenty to climb and play on including some fun houses/dens made of wood. If you fancy building your own den there is plenty of wood to give it a try. There is also the Oak Leaf play area for younger children.

There are three trails great for families including an easy access trail and two longer trails to choose from. Plus a family cycle trail. This is a circular route and is the easiest of their routes at five miles long. There are some more adventurous trails and you can hire bikes from the centre.

Why not try their fun, navigational challenge at Fineshade Wood using a simple map to find twelve Gruffalo markers hidden in the woods? You can pick this up for just £1.50. There is also a Gruffalo sculpture in the woods. They also have forest activity bags to hire out.
