Things to do at Go Ape Coventry review

Go Ape at Coombe Country Park in Coventry, West Midlands is set in 500 acres of parkland with stunning views of the gardens, woodland and lake. There are a few challenges including The Treetop Challenge, Treetop Adventure and Treetop Adventure Plus.

Treetop Challenge – This is a relatively new site that has been designed to allow you to tailor the experience to suit your abilities (and braveness). There are sky-high platforms, challenging crossings, zip wires and more. The challenge takes 2 to 3 hours to navigate your way around. There is no minimum age although there is a minimum height of 1.4m.

Treetop adventure – With intricate crossings, wobbly bridges and great zip-wire rides, all designed with the younger family in mind. There is no minimum age, however, there is a minimum height of 1m. Duration 1 hour.

Treetop Adventure Plus – This is great for teenagers wanting to push themselves a bit further. It is designed for children above 1.2m and 6 years of age. This is an extension to the Treetop adventure and includes extra challenging obstacles, higher platforms and a longer zip wire. Duration 1 hour.

The Plummet – This is a 12m free, fall towards the forest fall. You can purchase this as an extra to the Treetop Challenge or as an individual activity. Duration 20 minutes.

Plus there is axe throwing for those aged 16 and over.

During the darker months, they also offer Sundown Sessions which are worth checking out. Duration times including safety briefings. Once you’ve had your treetop fun there’s plenty in the park to keep everyone entertained. There are trails and walks around the parking including an Old Deer Park with views of the Abbey. There are two play areas and a climbing forest for the over 8s with cargo nets and climbing posts. Find out more about the country park.
