Hay Farm Heavy Horse Centre

Hay Farm Heavy Horse Centre

The Hay Farm Heavy Horse Centre is located at Ford and Etal near Crookham, Northumberland. The centre is a working farm and they also breed a number of animals, especially the now Rare Breed Clydesdale. They are run on a ‘not for profit’ basis.

They are now the only Rare Breed Approved Conservation Centre in the country dedicated to Heavy Horses. You can get up close to their Clydesdale heavy horses and other animals, which would have been common in the era of the working horse.

Other animals, you can see include the very rare British lop-eared pig and Sebastapol geese plus more. During the school holidays, they run short carriage rides. These are usually advertised on their website or Facebook.
