Things to do at Himley Hall and Park review
Himley Hall and Park is a mansion and 180 acres of parkland that was created by Capability Brown in the 18th century. It is located in Himley near Dudley, West Midlands.
The house was once the family home to the Earls of Dudley where they once hosted royalty and high society. Today it is home to weddings and events, but you can be shown around the house as part of a guided tour. They also host a number of family-friendly annual events,.
Visitors may participate in specially organised guide tours of the hall that takes you through unseen rooms. You will see the servant’s quarters, the ballroom, the Butler’s sitting room, the Early of Dudley’s bedrooms and more. Visitors can also see the refurbished North Wing complete with Art Deco-style swimming Pool Room and Cinema Bar. The tour of the Hall lasts for approximately 1½ hours and is followed by tea, coffee and homemade biscuits which is included in the price.
You can enjoy pitch and putt in the grounds plus orienteering, sailing or just enjoy a walk in the peaceful grounds. Make sure you take some duck-friendly food to feed their resident ducks.
