Ingrow Museum of Rail Travel

The Museum of Rail Travel is located in Ingrow near Keighley, West Yorkshire. It is operated by the Vintage Carriages Trust and it is run as a charity. They are located just north of Ingrow railway station. The charity was registered in 1982 and the museum opened in 1990.

What can you do at Ingrow Museum of Rail Travel?

There are two museums at Ingrow Station Yard, they are located 200m from Ingrow station at the end of the yard. The museum sometimes loans some of their stock so not all of their engines or carriages may be present. They own 9 restored carriages, a railbus, 3Historical, steam locomotives and a large archive of railway posters, signs and other artefacts.

As well as their displays of rolling stock and exhibitions there is a sound and video presentation that allows visitors to experience the true history of railway travel. Their carriages have been featured in over 70 different films and TV series, you can now sit where the stars once sat too. Adults are £3.00, children £2.00 and other pricing options including family tickets are available. Visitors to the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway who hold a Rover Ticket can gain access to the museum free of charge.
