International Bomber Command Centre

The International Bomber Command Centre overlooking Lincoln in Lincolnshire is a family-friendly place to visit. It is educational and despite why it’s there it is fun for kids. It is a world-class facility that serves as a point of recognition, remembrance and reconciliation for Bomber Command. As someone whose Grandad served in a Lancaster Bomber during WWII, I am thrilled that a place such as this exists. The bomber command were for some reason the forgotten heroes.
Things to do at the International Bomber Command Centre
The centre commemorates the efforts, sacrifices and commitment of the men and women who came together in Bomber Command during WWII. They also tell the stories of those who suffered as a result of the bombing campaigns and those whose survival was guaranteed by the humanitarian operations they also carried out.
At the heart of the centre is the Memorial Spire and the Walls of Names. There are fantastic views across Lincoln from the spire. There are two peace gardens set across 10 acres of landscaped gardens.
The centre allows children and adults to learn through different interactive exhibitions and displays. Kids can pick up a trail sheet for the bomber command adventure trail. They also have a year-round program of events, a dressing up-station, and book stations. To extend your visit they also have family kit bags you can borrow to help you explore inside and outside.

Is there food and drink available?
There is a cafe on-site which sells hot and cold food and drinks.
What are the main things to do?
Centre with a spire, a wall of names, peace gardens and an indoor space with interactive exhibits to commemorate Bomber Command from WWII. There are toilets and a cafe.
What are the ticket prices?
Tickets are cheaper if bought online in advance. An adult ticket online costs £7.70, children 5-18 are £4.50. Other pricing options such as a family ticket are available. You can also pre-book your parking ticket.

The car park is £3 for all-day parking.

Dog friendly?
Dogs on leads are welcome in the Gardens and Memorial area and in the shop/reception area of the centre. Assistance dogs are welcome across the site.
Are they accessible?
