Things to do at Kent Life review

Kent Life is an open-air museum near Maidstone in Kent. It is located in Sandling next to Allington Locks on the east bank of the River Medway. There is a variety of things to do including a farmyard, a big top, gardens, a vintage village and play areas.

Outdoors you can take a farm ride on their land train or on one of their tractor-trailer rides. There is a hunt around the grounds for various mystery objects and there is a prize as a reward. They have a daily itinerary of extra activities such as feeding the lambs (seasonal,), donkey rides, playing on the beach in the summer and special events,. There is also an adventure play area including pedal tractors.

They showcase and breed traditional farm animals, including sheep, pigs, horses, goats, poultry, alpacas and more. All their animals, are housed in historic outhouse barns. Indoors there is a large soft play area with three floors of fun. You can also get creative in the paint-a-pot studio or meet smaller farmyard animals, in the cuddle corner.

Their all-weather indoor Big Top arena plays host to a variety of shows throughout the year, usually during school holidays. There are also someHistorical, cottages to explore. Their collection of original buildings includes a village hall, Hoppers’ huts, blacksmith’s forge and more. Plus there are gardens that you can look around.

Dogs are welcome on leads outdoors. Dogs are not permitted in their catering areas, lower farmyard (including cuddle corner) and The Kent Owl Academy.
