Park Overview

Kilnsey Park is located near the village of Kilnsey in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. They offer activities for all the family including being a great place to try out fishing. There are friendly farm animals, an adventure playground and a nature trail with a butterfly garden.

You can relax and recharge amidst the green space and the breathtaking views of Upper Wharfedale, Great Whernside and the towering Crag that inspired the painter Turner. From goats to rare breed pigs and alpacas to mini sheep there are lots of animals, to meet at Kilnsey.

Fishing is a great way to get outdoors. They welcome families and first-timers to experienced anglers. Their family fishing pond makes fishing simple. Their helpful staff will provide you with everything you need and they are well-stocked to hopefully guarantee you a catch. They even clean the fish you catch so you can take it home to cook. You must pay for the fish you catch. This fishing pond is open from Easter to October.

The trail has a variety of fun things to do along the way. The first thing you will come to is the mini diggers and sandpits. There is also a water play area, a sculpture trail and more. They also have a seasonal, geocache trail with boxes hidden around the park.

Discovery trail Adults £4.50, children £3.50 and children aged under 5 are free. Fishing is £8 per rod and £3.50 per fish caught and kept. Combi tickets and family tickets are also available.
